Enkorok tented camp

Enkorok mara camp is located in Maasai mara (ololaimutia area) which is  250km from Nairobi.Its 6hrs drive from  Nairobi,1 hr  flight from Wilson Airport to Keekorok Airstrip and 1 hr transfer from Airstrip to the camp.Ololaimutia gate is the closest entrance to mara and 2.5 km to the camp.

The camp is set on the banks of Oloirigynyisho River where Zebras, Wildebeests, Elephants and other wildlife regularly come to drink water. It overlooks the scenic Oloolotikoshi Hills and the spot is perfect for sundowners for guests relaxing after a game drive with a captivating sunset.

Accommodation and facilities

The Camp has 22 large tents set on large mahogany platforms each with spacious(single,double and triple)and 2 family tents. All tents have are well decorated and have a  comfortable furniture giving you the ultimate in camping luxury. 19 tents are placed along the riverbank, whilst 3 tents are on raised platforms offering incredible views. Each tent is en-suite and has a bathroom with flush toilet, twin wash hand basins and an outside shower with looks to the sky. The water is heated up by gas burners to avoid any use of firewood and thus conserving the Mara Woodlands. Electricity is provided in all tents 24 hours by extended solar panel system and battery storing bank

Dining and cuisine

Enkorok has a restaurant named Tamu Tamu is a Swahili word meaning ‘delicious. The offer cuisines and snacks from different cultures. They offer international and African cuisine. The camp offer Buffet & À La Carte Option. Also, those with special dietary are well catered for and thus highly recommended the camp to be advised in advance. There is also a bar which is situated at the poolside where you can lounge and enjoy the stunning ambience while on your safari. After a long game drive  you can relax at the swimming

How to get there

The camp can be reached either by road. Its distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250 km.It takes around 5-6 hours by road.

While flying time takes about 45 mins .Scheduled flight land at Keekorok Airstrip which is approximately 20 km away.

Best time to visit Enkorok

The best time is during the dry season since that’s when the vegetation is less dense making it easier to spot the wildlife. Also the insect populations such as mosquito are lower.
