Overview
Miti mingi eco camp is located 500m from the ololaimutiek Masai Mara entrance gate. The camp can be accessed either by road or air. It takes around 5-6 hrs by road and while flying it takes approximately 45 mins .Keekorok Airstrip is 20 mins game drive from the camp .The camp is nestled under a canopy of indigenous trees (Miti Mingi) – meaning many trees creating a cool retreat from the heat of the plains ,the leafy canopy attracts large variety of bird life all day long and you will be gently awaken by a chorus of bird call every morning.
Accommodation and facilities
Miti mingi Eco camp mara has 30 self-contained tents which are decorated in natural woods, wrought irons and crips cotton. The tent are categorized into single bed, twin bed ,double bed, triple bed and lastly Family tents. Each tent is fitted with 4 poster beds, a mosquito net, an en suite bathroom with hot/cold shower. The tents also have terraces that give beautiful scenic views.
The camp’s light is provided by hydroelectric generated power and backed up by diesel run generator from 6:30pm upto 10:00 o’clock. All tents have charging ports.
It has a lounge, bar and a dining area in the same clubhouse for easier movements of visitors from one place to another.
Wildlife and safari experience
Mara is known as one the finest wildlife destination and rugged landscapes and hosting of the epic great migration. In mara there are high chances of getting to see the big five, cheetah, hyena, bat- eared foxes, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, Impala and waterbuck.
Cultural and Recreational Activities
Miti mingi mara activities include bird watching, game drives through the reserve, Hot air balloon safaris, cultural visit, scenic flights and walking safaris. Other activities include wedding anniversaries, birthday parties, Team building, and bonfires

How to get there
The camp can be reached either by road. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 280 km. It takes around 5-6 hours by road with a 4×4 safari vehicles which is highly recommended due to the road conditions and different terrains.
Masai Mara is accessible by air from Wilson Airport, Nairobi taking approximately 45min above Kenya’s landscape and landing in Keekorok Airstrip followed with a short en route transfer.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit Miti Mingi Eco Camp, located in the Masai Mara, is during the peak season for wildlife viewing, which is from between July and October, when the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras takes place
